Buddy- The Buddy Holly Story is a perfect portrayal of the life of one of the most talented and iconic musicians of all time. The play's electrifying energy and dedication to capturing the personality and essence of the "father of rock 'n' roll" is truly impressive.

The story is set in the 1950s and follows the life of Buddy Holly, a young artist who revolutionized the rock 'n' roll culture. Through his iconic tunes like "Peggy Sue" and "Everyday," he became a household name, and the production does an excellent job of portraying his rise to fame, as well as his interpersonal and professional relationships.

The cast of the play does an exceptional job of bringing Holly to life. A.J Jenks played Buddy in this performance and he didn't disappoint. With his vocals and stage presence, he managed to show Buddy's iconic moves with panache. Each actor's performance is engaging and heartfelt, providing the audience with an authentic glimpse of his character. We thoroughly enjoyed the performances of Christopher Chandler (Big Bopper) and Miguel Angel who performed with ease of Ritchie Valens. The musical numbers are flawlessly executed by the talented ensemble, leaving the audience tapping their toes, standing on their feey and singing along.

The set design is also worth noting, as it perfectly captures the spirit of the era, with neon-lit concert halls and cabaret bars. The lighting and sound design complement the performance and create a dynamic atmosphere.

Overall, Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story is a must-see for any music lover or fan of the musical genius. It is a tribute to the legacy of an iconic artist who continues to inspire generations of musicians today, and a testament to his immense talent, perseverance, and passion for music.

February 3rd, 1957, the day, the music died!
