The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is a great theatre adaptation of the famous book by C. S. Lewis. It’s a great show, with impressive visual aspects.
This production is part of a UK tour celebrating the 75th anniversary of the novel.
It’s a popular book that also has a popular film adaptation, so most people will be familiar with the story.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe follows the story of the four children: Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy. They’re evacuees in the War, and they go to live in a large house owned by the Professor (Kraig Thornber). In this show, the Professor has a cat called Schrödinger (pupeteered by Andrew Davison) – in reference to Schrödinger’s cat.
The cast delivers wonderful performances, with standout portrayals of Lucy (Kudzai Mangombe), Edmund (Bunmi Osadolor), Susan (Joanna Adaran), and Peter (Jesse Dunbar) as they navigate their journey from wartime Britain to the enchanted realm. The White Witch's presence is both chilling and mesmerizing, adding depth to the narrative played superbly by Ffion Haf.

As a child, I loved the story of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. So I was excited to see this production. I really liked that the stage version of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe stayed true to the classic story.
The play on stage followed the story and didn’t miss out or change any vital parts, so I was a bit apprehensive about whether this stage version might do the same. But The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe on stage was true to the classic story. And I really liked that.

With tickets starting at £15 and performances running until Saturday, June 7, 2025, this adaptation is a must-see for fans of the classic story.
Don't miss your opportunity to step through the wardrobe and experience this magical production at the Regent Theatre.
